Requirements for plotting
There are no requirements in order to run PredictMD–you can train, run, and evaluate models without installing any additional software. However, in order to generate plots (e.g. ROC curves), you need to install LaTeX on your system. See below for instructions on installing LaTeX.
Once you have installed LaTeX, you can test PredictMD's plotting functionality by running two lines in Julia:

ENV["PREDICTMD_TEST_GROUP"] = "test-plots"
Pkg.test("PredictMD")
If you do not want to install LaTeX on your computer, you can use the Docker image.
Installing LaTeX
To confirm that LaTeX is installed on your system, open a terminal window and run the following command:
latex -v
You should see an output message that looks something like this:
pdfTeX 3.14159265-2.6-1.40.18 (TeX Live 2017)
kpathsea version 6.2.3
